The Founders
Chalk Stream Medical was founded by Dr Jamie Coutts Donald and Dr Camilla Nuttall, both of whom have worked in the NHS and in private practice. They see every patient themselves, which is rather the point: you get the same doctor, and that doctor gets to know you.

Before qualifying as a GP, Dr James trained in psychiatry, across both child and adult mental health services. It means anxiety, depression, burnout and sleep problems are familiar ground here, rather than something to be passed straight on.
Alongside that he covers the full range of general practice, from acute illness to long-term conditions. His appointments run long on purpose, so there is time to be heard and to understand the options.
Dr Camilla Nuttall

Dr Camilla holds Diplomas from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH) and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG), as well as specialised Letters of Competence in coil and implant fitting. She has a particular interest in women’s health, menopause care, fertility and early pregnancy.
She also does general practice across the board, looking after patients and families at every stage of life. Her appointments are unhurried, and she will explain any test or treatment in plain language rather than medical shorthand.
