Trying for a Baby

Whether you are only starting to think about it, have been trying for a while without luck, or simply want to understand where you stand, it helps to talk to someone who does this often.

Our fertility appointments are with Dr Camilla Nuttall, a GP with a subspecialist interest in fertility. She spent five years at The Fertility Partnership, so this is familiar ground rather than an occasional case.

How We Approach It

Fertility is not only a set of numbers on a blood test, and the appointments are not run that way.

Dr Nuttall will go through:

• Lifestyle: what diet, stress, sleep and exercise are actually doing to your chances.
• Medical history: anything in your background that might be getting in the way.
• Practical changes: the small adjustments that genuinely shift the odds, and the ones that do not.

Pre-Conception Advice

For anyone planning to conceive who wants to be in the best shape for it. We review your history and your lifestyle and give you a sensible starting point.

Fertility Testing

If you have been trying for a while, we can arrange tests to give you a clearer picture.

• Women: ovarian reserve (AMH), ovulation checks and rubella immunity.
• Men: semen analysis referrals, and a look at what affects sperm quality.

Egg Freezing

If you are thinking about delaying a family, Dr Nuttall can explain how egg preservation works, what it costs, what the success rates really look like, and whether it is worth it for you.

Referrals

If you need assisted conception such as IVF, we can refer you on to clinics and specialists we know, and stay involved while you go through it.

Pricing

There are separate appointment types depending on whether you come alone or with a partner.

Blood tests such as AMH or hormone profiles are charged on top of the appointment fee.
