Monitoring Your Skin Health
Your skin is your body’s largest organ, and monitoring it is vital for long-term health. Whether you have noticed a new lesion, a changing mole, or simply want the peace of mind that comes with a professional review, our experienced GPs are here to help.
With skin cancer rates rising, particularly melanoma, early detection is key. Identifying changes early can significantly improve outcomes and simplify treatment.
Dermoscopy Assessment
Our doctors use specialist dermoscopy equipment for high-quality magnification of moles and lesions, helping distinguish benign from concerning changes.
Mole Checks & Dermoscopy
We offer dedicated appointments to examine specific moles or lesions that are causing you concern.
Our doctors use dermoscopy—a specialised handheld device that provides high-quality magnification and illumination of the skin. This allows us to evaluate the structure of moles and lesions below the naked eye’s visibility, helping to distinguish between harmless (benign) moles and those that may require further investigation.
We recommend a skin check as part of your annual health review.
General Dermatology
In addition to cancer screening, we diagnose and manage a wide range of common skin conditions, including:
- Eczema and Dermatitis: Management plans to reduce irritation and flare-ups.
- Acne: Discussion of prescription treatments and referrals if Roaccutane is considered.
- Rashes and Infections: Assessment of fungal, viral, or bacterial skin infections.
- Psoriasis: Long-term management strategies.
If a lesion requires surgical removal or biopsy, we can provide a prompt referral to a trusted dermatologist or plastic surgeon.
Minor Procedures
We offer a selection of essential minor procedures in-clinic to save you waiting times and provide convenient care.
Ear Wax Removal
Ear wax build-up is natural, but it can become uncomfortable and affect your hearing. It can also cause symptoms such as earache, dizziness, tinnitus, and vertigo. While common, it is best resolved by a professional to avoid damage to the ear canal.
We offer a safe ear syringing service carried out by our experienced GPs to help restore your hearing and comfort.
Preparation for your appointment: To ensure the procedure is successful and comfortable, please apply warm olive oil or pharmacy-grade ear drops for approximately one week prior to your visit to soften the wax.
Phlebotomy (Blood Tests)
For your convenience, we offer a dedicated phlebotomy service. Whether you need blood tests as part of a consultation, a health check, or for a specific monitoring requirement, we can perform the blood draw on-site.
We use high-quality accredited laboratories to ensure accurate and fast results, typically returned within 2–3 days.
