Women’s health needs time and someone who will take it seriously. A lot of what comes up here has been dismissed elsewhere, or squeezed into ten minutes that were never going to be enough.

Appointments are with Dr Camilla Nuttall, who holds Diplomas from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and has worked in both the NHS and private practice.

What We Cover

Menopause and HRT

Perimenopause and menopause are rarely straightforward, and the symptoms are not only the obvious ones. We give the appointment enough time to go through what is actually happening, physically and otherwise, and to work through the options properly, including body identical HRT and the non-hormonal alternatives.

Contraception

We will talk through the methods and help you find one that fits your life, rather than the one that is quickest to prescribe. Dr Nuttall holds Letters of Competence for fitting and removing:

• Coils, both copper and Mirena
• Contraceptive implants (Nexplanon)

Gynaecological Concerns

We assess and manage:

• Periods that are heavy, painful or irregular
• Pelvic pain
• Polycystic ovary syndrome
• Endometriosis
• PMS and PMDD

Screening

• Cervical screening: smear tests with HPV screening.
• Breast health: clinical examination and referral for mammography.
• Sexual health: confidential STI screening.
• Osteoporosis: risk assessment and advice.

If you want the full picture, the Women’s Health Gold Check combines a complete medical assessment with a gynaecological one.

Price: £765

The appointment is an hour and includes:

• Full physical examination and lifestyle review.
• Cervical smear, if it is due.
• Extensive blood tests: thyroid, diabetes, cholesterol and iron.
• Tumour markers: ovarian, bowel and pancreatic.
• A written plan.

As a fertility subspecialist, Dr Nuttall also sees individuals and couples for pre-conception advice, ovarian reserve testing, and referral for assisted conception where that is the next step.
